PRODUCTION TEAM – GUYS AND DOLLS
For the fourth consecutive year Paul Woodhall takes up the baton of musical director following his excellent work on our previous productions, most recently, last year’s musically technically demanding ‘Witches Of Eastwick’.
After three very successful years as valued choreographer for BHMTC, Gaynor ‘Tankardography’ Tromans is taking some time out to pursue other theatrical projects and makes way for Anna Forster to make her BHMTC debut as choreographer.
No stranger to BHMTC, Anna was last with us on stage in 2011 as a dancer in our production of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her having appeared on stage in the local area with West Bromwich OS (where she was Dance Captain in their last production) and Stourbridge AOS (where she played the lead in their 2012 production of ‘Flashdance’).
For the third year in a row we have a director making their BHMTC directorial debut.
Following the successful debuts of Jo Foley and Jez Luckins in previous years, our willingness to encourage new directing talent has led us to this year give a BHMTC directorial debut to George Stuart.
George also brings with him considerable experience of musical theatre having performed with both West Bromwich OS and Stourbridge AOS.
If you are a fan of new, youthful, innovative and dynamic theatre then you have probably seen both George and Anna in productions by locally based groups ‘9 Productions’ and ‘MYK Productions’. Anna has also choreographed for ‘9 Productions’. She is an assistant choreographer for the European amateur premiere of the musical ‘Dogfight’ at the Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton, in April this year, a production which George also appears in.
We are sure you, our audience, will agree that with this production team in place, you can look forward to another high quality, highly entertaining production from us.
Get ready for that BHMTC boat to be rocked!
